Suzette Marie (Bozanic) Carpenter

Suzette Marie (Bozanic) Carpenter, 67, of Lumberton, Mississippi, passed away August 23, 2026, following a difficult battle with cancer and complications from several other serious illnesses. Born August 29, 1958, in Cortland, New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Gloria Bozanic.

Strong-willed, fiercely stubborn, hardworking, generous, funny, and rarely at a loss for an opinion, Suzette lived life very much as herself. She wasn't one to readily show her emotions—but watch out when she did.

Though retired, Suzette never completely stopped keeping busy. She enjoyed helping others, meeting people from all walks of life, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved plants, birds, and animals, especially the many dogs she loved and cared for over the years, as well as music, arts and crafts, and holidays.

She is survived by her son, Jeremiah Carpenter; her brothers, Brett Bozanic and his wife, Cristene, Brad Bozanic and his wife, Rhonda, and Bryan Bozanic; her nieces and nephews; her dear friends Terri, Tanja, and Debbie; and many other relatives and friends.

In accordance with her wishes, Suzette chose to be cremated, and no formal services will be held.
