William P Nix

Bill Nix, aged 71, passed away on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, surrounded by family he loved dearly.

Born on November 12th, 1954 in Greenville, Mississippi, he was raised an Air Force brat, living in Texas, Illinois, and Germany but primarily spending his later childhood and early adulthood in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and his later adulthood primarily in North Carolina. He worked a variety of jobs including on oil seismograph teams, in gas stations, and in grocery stores, but he spent the vast majority of his career in finance working in lending for RBC Centura, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo. He was a man of deep faith and always went the extra mile, often working two jobs to support his family, including his son, Wesley, and he also maintained his love for cars, motorcycles, and classic rock. After his son joined the Air Force, he moved back near his family in the Hattiesburg and Sumrall area. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
